Baglamukhi

Baglamukhi is one of the many forms of the wise feminine deities among the ten Mahavidyas (great wisdom/science). She symbolises potent female primeval force and is worshipped with utmost devotion. She has (like the other devis) very specific responsibilities and powers. Baglamukhi is derived from the word by “Bagla”, “Vagla” meaning bridle to rein in. This very powerful goddess is also called as “Sthambini Devi”, “Brahmastra Roopini” and more popularly as “Pitambari Maa” – the goddess associated with yellow or golden colour. Baglamukhi has many other derivative names (popularly referred to by 108 names) that have been bestowed upon her by her followers.

She rides the Bagula (crane) bird, associated with Concentration – a pearl of wisdom. It is also believed that the behaviour of the crane standing still to catch its prey is reflective of the occult power bestowed upon the Devi. Descriptions of the Devi associate her heavily with the colour yellow. She sits on a golden throne and wears yellow clothing. She is depicted, as holding a cudgel in her right hand pulling out the tongue of a demon with her other hand. The powerful Devi is invoked for many different purposes – but most famously to defeat enemies. It is believed that Baglamukhi can make the target motionless and still. Various rituals and methods are used to call upon her for help and aid to eliminate and get rid of demons and anything associated with these or afflictions projected upon a person by other people and for those that are afflicted and pained by curses and evil eyes.

WHY TURN TO BAGLAMUKHI?

We, as human beings, are inflicted with problems. Everyone suffers from problems in life, be it physical or mental. It could also be in the form or unfulfilled desires, cravings, ambitions or, most importantly, fear.
According to Buddha,

“All human beings have eighty-three problems. It’s a fact of life. Sure a few problems may go away now and again. But soon enough others will arise, so we will always have eighty-three problems”.

No one is exempt from this basic fact of the life. All great and highly respected personalities, including spiritual and religious, had to suffer and faced problems in their lives. History is full of their stories. You will always find problems and obstacles in the way to your achievements. These problems are created by your visible or invisible enemies.

Baglamukhi has a strong power that is beyond what humans are able to acquire or achieve. Yet she can be called upon to help in any situation where enemies are creating havoc in your life. You can turn to Baglamukhi to resolve any kind of problem in finance, business, vindictive cases, jobs, success in examination, to overpower your enemies, in relationships, cutting the powers of black magic and voodoo and keeping away the evil spirits and demons.

Enemies can come in many forms and, in life, we do come across them. They may want to destroy your livelihood and work, create problems in marriage and relationships, make parent and child fight for no good reason, steal, cheat, deceive and even lie to you. Enemies may also try to crush you mentally by emotional blackmail, they may want what you have, they may try to cheat you and bring misery and misfortune on you. These are just some of the situations you may be faced with and if you experience any of these including illness, bad health, breakdown in your general well-being and happiness then Baglamukhi can be called upon to help you get out of these situations and end the suffering. Why do you want to suffer for nothing when you can be cured of the suffering? Pointless popping prescription drugs even though they do help if you can’t get rid of the enemy creating the problem.

So, turn to Baglamukhi and set yourself free of the problems you suffer from.

Demons

The enemy might not even be a person. It might be your own inflated and large ego or your anxious and restless mind. The mind creates thoughts. They can be good or bad. Bad thoughts are really like demons. They can appear in different and scary forms. They can ‘eat’ you ‘alive’. You can become a zombie – the walking dead. You can be so affected by the demon-thoughts that your whole mind and body becomes saturated with this negativity and pain. Why put yourself through this suffering? You can call upon Baglamukhi to help get rid of ‘demons’ – both outside and inside. Don’t think that demons always come from outside or that they are sent to us by someone not nice or who doesn’t like you. Our bodies are inflated by these demons. The ‘demon’ may actually be a product of your imagination and in turn this can turn into a thought. Thoughts can be obsessive, compulsive and continuous. If you keep thinking about same thing, that ‘thing’ itself can come true, as demons can cause over.

Such is the force of Baglamukhi that she can annihilate demons, stun them into oblivion, silence them forever, frighten them and even harm them.

The path

Our problems stem from our thoughts, mostly triggered by demons. Thoughts can be positive or negative. The negative or ‘bad’ thoughts can harm your whole body and distort how you view the world. Thoughts can make you happy, sad, angry, upset – just about anything. But if you allow the ‘demons’ inside you to grow you can create so many bad stories for yourself – such that you end up ‘living’ out these bad thoughts in ‘real’ life. Black magic can exist according to nearly all of the major religious traditions. It’s been around for centuries. People use black magic principally to harm. It could be they are jealous of you, envious or just want to sway you towards them so they can then manipulate and use you – as a tool for themselves. Whatever way you look at it – it is harmful and destructive when your life gets ruined or your day to day life is becoming miserable – whether at work, home, social, love or anywhere else. Baglamukhi is the super-energy who can destroy demons. She can bestow and grant you the power to overpower your enemies.

Regular visits to Baglamukhi temple and practice of Baglamukhi Mantra can help you to crush the negativity and defeat your enemies. Baglamukhi can be called upon for help in situations where you are afflicted by woes, depression, restlessness, emotional drainage, powerlessness, stress and any other pains and diseases relating to the mind.

Various rituals and methods exist to invoke Baglamukhi for help and aid to set you free of pain, fear and misery. Reciting the Baglamukhi Mantra gives you magical and miraculous powers and support from Baglamukhi who has been well known for centuries to have helped overcome mankind's problems and fears.

This path is available to you to set yourself free from your sufferings. The choice to choose this path is entirely yours!
